At the Forefront of a New Industry
In the early 1980s, with the concept of sports marketing still undefined, Lonnie Cooper branded his own style and vision for his first two clients: NBA superstar Spud Webb and future Basketball Hall of Fame coach and broadcaster Mike Fratello. Identifying and then capitalizing upon emerging opportunities in media and corporate endorsements for his clients, Cooper created a company with a commitment to client service and integrity. The result has been a career that endures as one of the great entrepreneurial success stories in the sports industry.
Building the Legacy of CS&E
As his achievements mounted and his industry influence continued to grow, Cooper recognized the synergies between sports and corporations and created CS&E to fully meet the diverse needs of his clients. By expanding into corporate marketing and representation, sponsorship sales, public relations, television production, event production, merchandising, entertainment, and licensing, CS&E merged the interests of the two groups and expanded the benefits the agency brought to all of its clients.
Expanding the Dream
In 2007, Career Sports and Entertainment completed its acquisition of Little Rock, Arkansas' JM Associates. By acquiring JM, a leader in the world of outdoor programming and content creation CS&E is better positioned to offer original, innovative new content not just in the sports-related world, but into the entire entertainment field.
